Weddings, weddings, and more weddings.

Future makeup artist.
Posted by Hello

That’s Madison doing my makeup last night. You should’ve seen how pretty I looked when I was done, what with lipstick all over my face! She’s so cute.

Not much is new. Grad was fun. I really wish I was photogenic. But I’m not. At all. Oh well. The weekend was great, visiting family and D getting approval! It came in handy him being a photographer. He took pics for my Aunt Robin. So yeah, fabulous weekend except for a bit of drama. It seems to follow me, I swear.

I haven’t done much since I got back on Tuesday. D and I were supposed to go to his parents cabin but because of the rainy weather Tuesday and yesterday we decided to stay in the city. Finally it’s nice today, but he leaves for Cigar Lake tomorrow. We’ve watched alot of movies the past couple of days. Five to be exact. Beaches, The Big Blue, Big Fish, Hero, and then last night D and I went to War of the Worlds with his roommate Scott and his girlfriend Nicole. That movie freaked me out. Movies like that do, I’m not sure why.

In case you’re wondering, no I haven’t applied for any more jobs. Yes, I am a horribly lazy person. I guess next week since it’s now the long weekend. I can’t believe I’d ever say this, but I almost wish it was fall. That way I’d be going to school and wouldn’t have to worry about finding full time work.

I found out today that my Uncle Kent got engaged to his girlfriend, congrats guys! That makes four weddings to attend in the next year. My cousin Tanya and her fiance Colin (Madison’s parents) on September 10th, 2005. Uncle Kent and Lori on December 31st, 2005. My cousin Amy and her fiance Kirk on June 10th, 2006. And last but not least, my brother Jaret and his fiance Twyla on July 22nd, 2006. I’m most excited for that one because Nicole and I are bridesmaids! :)

I suppose I should stop being lazy, take a shower, and perhaps apply for some jobs hey?

Off to Carrot River for the weekend.

Stop!
Posted by Hello

Love that pic. I was a little bit obsessed with taking pictures of French signs.

Is it bad that I moved back to Saskatoon in April and I’m still not done unpacking?

This will be my last update for a few days. I’m headed to my hometown of Carrot River tomorrow morning. It’s Carrot River grad on Monday.

It’ll be weird going to a Carrot River grad. The last time I was at one was Rosey’s, a year after mine. I don’t get home much, and haven’t seen any of my old high school teachers in a really long time. What’s more, I’m actually a grad escort! Yup. My Mom’s best friend’s son graduates this year and asked me to be his grad escort. I’m flattered! It’s going to be a Wolowski family affair what with my two cousins Dale and Jordan graduating, my cousin Janine being an escort for her boyfriend, as well as my cousin Dale got our cousin Monika to be his grad escort! And then there will be me, four years older than them all, acting like I’m 18 again. Whoohoo!

I cannot wait to get all dolled up for the grad. I’m a typical girl who loves dressing up and turning heads, so of course I bought a brand-spanking new dress. It’s pretty hot, and I’m combining it with some killer heels. Killer sexy, and killer high. I should probably practice walking a bit!

I’m looking forward to being in Carrot River this weekend. During the summer is the only time I really like my hometown. Not only that, but D is coming with me and will be meeting my Dad, Papa, Grandma, and a bunch of extended family. There’s not much to do in a town of ~1200 people, but I’ve never had the oppurtunity of bringing a guy to see where I grew up. My ex, R, was from a neighbouring small town. So that in itself will be exciting.

Well, I’m off to do yet another load of laundry and continue packing. Until next week!

My second update in two days! Wow!

Yes, it must have been those Blog-a-thon questions keeping me from updating, because I feel the urge to update every two seconds again. Even though I don’t have a single comment for my pervious entry! Maybe I’ll leave a comment for myself. How silly.

I applied for a few more jobs today. I really need a job, seeing as how for some reason I found it necessary to buy a new bag, sunglasses, earrings, and sandals this afternoon! Not good.

I’m not doing much tonight, D went to the driving range and then is playing XBox with some buddies. Probably a good idea, I’ve spent every night with him and seen him every day since I arrived home. I don’t want to become one of those sickening couples that have no life outside of eachother.

So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause.

Where river meets road.
Posted by Hello

I know my updates have been practically non-existent, but hopefully no more! French immersion is now complete, and I am back in good ole Saskatchewan.

Not a whole lot is new. Last night D and I went to see Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. I’m not huge Star Wars fan, but I think it’s a movie worth seeing. Today I did nothing. Applied for a couple of jobs, played some frisbee, watched a movie, walked for ice cream. Oh, the life of the unemployed!

There was a crazy thunderstorm last night, the worst one I’ve ever witnessed. So bad I joked to D “Who built the ark this time?” It was quite interesting. It’s crazy the amount of rain this province has gotten. A section of Spadina Crescent is closed off because of flooding. This morning my sister and I walked down to where it was flooded and took some pics. I’ve never seen the river this high.

Oh… I’m finally done the Blog-a-thon interview questions! So here goes nothing…

For Felix:
1. Think back to your childhood. What is the first memory you think of?
2. Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?
3. If you could alter one thing about the world right now, what would it be?
4. Would you say you are prouder of your accomplishments or of your character?
5. What’s the first thing you do on Sunday morning?

For Lacy:
1. Would you rather have more brains, more beauty, or more chutzpah?
2. How do you learn best: by listening, watching, reading, or doing?
3. What is your favourite time of the day?
4. If you won the lottery, what would be the first item you’d purchase?
5. What were your first words and who told you what they were?

For Rvds.design:
1. What hobby would you like to make into a career?
2. If you could eliminate one memory from your life what would it be and why?
3. If you could stop aging at any point in your life up to the present, how old would you want to remain?
4. What are two things you couldn’t do when you were a child, but you can do now?
5. How did it feel the first time you fell in love?

For Jenna:
1. Would you prefer fame or respect?
2. If you could be granted one wish, what would it be?
3. What quote has provided you comfort in a difficult time of your life?
4. What is your worst habit?
5. Where would you go to spark your creativity?

It’s about time huh? I think that’s the reason I haven’t updated… I knew I had to come up with questions. Thanks to Amazon for letting me browse through some books such as “If… Volume 1 (Questions For the Game of Life)”, “4,000 Questions for Getting to Know Anyone and Everyone”, and “Would You?”. Apparently I’m not very creative so I robbed these books for good ideas.

Goodnight all, I promise to make more of an effort to update. Also, expect some photo uploading, I took the plunge and bought a pro account at Flickr. I’m sure you’re all dying to see the 300+ photos from my French immersion experience! :)

Mon chum est très gentil!

A quick post to brag about how I have the best boyfriend ever. Today I received the care package he sent me. Inside was a bunch of candy for sharing with my roommates and host family, a nice book full of photos of Saskatchewan for my host family, a pair of awesome chocolate brown flipflops for me, a letter, and an extra little gift that will remain a mystery. ;) Yes, I am the luckiest girl alive today.

Also, happy birthday to my sister Nicole! It’s her 24th birthday tomorrow. Wish her a happy one!

For those whom I am interviewing, you’re going to have a little bit of a wait. It’s my last week of French immersion which means I’m super busy with finals, packing, the closing banquet, and a day of travelling. Perhaps I’ll post the questions when I’m back in Saskatoon this weekend. If you’re lucky!

Who wants to be interviewed?

It’s interview time!
Blog-A-Thon Instructions:
It will be my pleasure to interview the next however many people respond to this post who want to be interviewed.

Here’s how it works:

1. Leave a comment saying “interview me” if you’d like to be interviewed.
2. I’ll respond by asking you 5 questions here. They’ll be different than the ones I was asked.
3. Update your blog with your answers to the questions.
4. When you do so, include this same explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same manner.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you’ll ask them five new questions.

June 7, 2005

Blog-a-Thon interview!

1. Describe yourself using one word for each letter of the alphabet.

Adventurous Bold Canadian Delicate Enchanting Feminine Goofy Happy-go-lucky Interesting Jazzy Klutz Loner Motivated Nice Optimistic Playful Quirky Remarkable Sentimental Ticklish Unique Voluptuary Wise X Just X meaning I’m a 10! ;) Youthful Zany

2. What’s the most fun you’ve ever had with your clothes on?

I had a really tough time answering this question. Apparently, I have more fun with my clothes off. I would have to say the most fun I have with my clothes on is dancing. I absolutely adore dancing and if the urge to dance hits me I will, no matter where I am.

3. Describe what’s on tonight’s dinner menu if food is you and your personality.

Strawberries dipped in chocolate; sweet and just a little bit naughty. ;)

4. A mad billionaire scientist offers you $500,000 if you will gain 25 pounds. The only catch … not only do you have to gain the weight, you also have to hang on to it for at least 5 years. If you fail, you have to give all the money back (with interest). What would you do?

No. He’s a billionaire, he can afford alot more than $500,000. Offer a couple million and I’ll think about it! Or, maybe 10+ years from now. I’m young, this is the only time I can enjoy having an okay body before gravity starts to take it’s toll. Besides, luckily I’ve never had alot of money and I seem to be doing just fine without it.

5. What do you want for breakfast, and how do you take your coffee?

I want dough gobs for breakfast. What are dough gobs? Gobs of dough! :) Fried until golden brown and dipped in syrup. I’ve already requested dough gobs for breakfast for when I get back to SK. And I take my coffee with lots of cream and sugar. People ask me “Do you want some coffee with your cream and sugar?” but hey, to each their own.

Yes, it’s been awhile.

Just a quick little update to say a few things.

First off, I am having a blast in Rivière-du-Loup and can`t believe it’s been three weeks already. Although, while I am having fun, I do miss home and, of course, I miss D. Today is one month of us being “official”. Hehe. I’m such a dork. I wish I could spend today with him, but oh well, only 12 more sleeps.

Also, happy 26th birthday to Tamara! Hope you have a good one! And tomorrow is Megan’s 22nd birthday. Happy birthday to her as well!

Last but not least, I’m done my blog-a-thon questions but don’t feel like posting now. Perhaps tomorrow.
