Birthday pictures, part three!

Birthday celebrations are allowed to go for an extra day if they come in the form of homemade cards and cupcakes from two cute neighbour girls. Yes, I am spoiled.

My favourite picture from last night that I somehow forgot to upload… the Village Idiot pose!

Ahhh… what a good birthday. I hereby decide my birthday should last for three days every year!

More birthday pictures!

My birthday is almost over and I have to say, it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Jaret and Twyla took me to Montana’s for supper, so everyone knows what that means…!

How sexy!

Before the crazy horns: Jaret, me, and Twyla.

Group photo at supper.

Horn attack!

Jaret in the horns.

Last but not least, the beautiful roses given to me by Kassidy, Justin, Joey, and Arielle.

For real though… best birthday ever. I am one happy, stuffed, exhausted twenty three year old girl tonight.

Happy birthday to ME!

Well, I’m officially 23 years old… I won’t say I’m OLD because I know I’m not, I’m just aware of getting older and it scares the crap out of me. I remember when I was a child, on the morning of my birthday I would run around all excited saying I was another year older and my sister would inform me that I wasn’t, not yet anyway, because since I was very close to being a July 31st baby I wasn’t actually a year older until closer to midnight. It used to get me quite angry back then but now? Now I am okay with saying “I’m still 22 until late tonight! I’m not 23 yet!”

I had a blast last night celebrating my birthday and want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all who came out and made the night special for me. The fun times continued this morning with brunch at Saskatoon Inn, and I’ll also celebrate with Jaret and Twyla tonight, they are taking me out for supper for my birthday since they couldn’t make it to my BBQ yesterday because of a wedding.

Here are some pictures from yesterday and this morning at brunch.

Me and the delicious birthday cake my sister baked for me.

I cried.

Well, my horoscope came true… I cried. But because of physical pain, not emotional, which is okay by me!

I seriously need to get my neck checked out. I started getting my bad neck pain and it was worse than I’ve ever had before, hence the crying. It was actually making me nauseous it hurt so bad! Luckily, my neck pains only last about 3 hours, so it is alot better now.

I have to go make myself pretty and ready to receive my guests, hopefully everyone has a good of night as I plan on having!

It’s my birthday tomorrow!

I am done work at 5:45 today, then at 6:30 people should begin to show up for my birthday BBQ. Altogether, when everyone gets here, there should be around 10 people which I think is a fairly good size. Unless some of the people who didn’t RSVP show up. That’s okay, it is easy enough to throw extra burgers on the BBQ.

I hope I have fun tonight, unfortunately I woke up to the following horoscope:

Leo July 22 - August 22
The more you let your ego swell today, dear Leo, the more tension you will encounter from other people. Others are not going to be fooled today, nor are they going to want to deal with fluff and frivolity. You might consider letting someone else take the lead while you focus more on your internal energy. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself crying for no apparent reason. It is important for these tears to come out. It’s a necessary cleansing process.

Really, I don’t know why I even read my horoscope, it never comes true. At least the good ones don’t. If this bad one does, I will not be pleased.

Friday’s Feast #104

Appetizer
What’s the funniest dream you can remember having?

Just a few days ago I had a dream that Jaret and Twyla had twins, a boy named Pear of all things, and a girl named Fissy. Twyla would get really mad if you said “Fizzy” instead of “Fissy”. Weird dream, but funny!

Soup
If you were a dog, what breed would you be, and why?

Um, I have no idea, so I’ll just say a golden retriever because they have nice hair and are friendly! :)

Salad
Continue this sentence: “I get confused when…”

I am reading Canadian poetry!

Main Course
Name two things that need to be done, but you are procrastinating in completing.

My essay(s), and laundry.

Dessert
When was the last time you tried something new, and what was it?

This is ridiculous but… the last time I tried something new was Saturday, when at approximately 4 AM I was in the 7-11 at Tisdale and I tried their sandwiches and burgers. They weren’t bad, but then again anything tastes good after a night of drinking!

Lesson in humility.

This afternoon Mom and I took our two little neighbour girls to play in the spray park by our house.

On the way there, Meghan, age four, was demonstrating her counting abilities when I asked her if she could count as high as my age. She began counting, but stopped at eighteen. I said “I’m older than that!” Her reply? “Can I do it later? I need a rest.”

Apparently I’m old enough that it can make children tired to count out my age.

Then when we got there and were running through sprinklers, her older sister Emily, age six, innocently asks me “Does anyone ever call you Fatty?”

… What!?

I asked “No, why? Am I fat?” And she told me “A little bit. You must be eating too much, Breanne.”

There ya have it folks, straight out of the mouths of babes… I’m old and chubby!

Gluttony.

Dairy Queen for supper with my sister when we got back into the city Sunday night.

Chinese take-out with Great Uncle Mike and Great Aunt Winnie last night, for their last night here.

Burger King for supper tonight, just because.

…Gross.

(I’m bored and don’t want to do my essay.)

Wedding is over. :(

I woke up kind of sad and disappointed today. For a variety of reasons… the wedding is over now, so what my family has looked forward to for over a year went by way too quickly, the weather is cloudy and gloomy outside (at least it was beautiful all weekend), and now I return to my mundane life of school and not one, not two, but THREE essays to write, plus a final, within the next three weeks.

My birthday is this coming Sunday, still haven’t decided what to do for it. I think BBQ Saturday or Sunday night, and brunch at Saskatoon Inn Sunday morning. That’s something to look forward to. Also, for August long weekend I am going to Edmonton with Nicole, Chelene, and Twyla to see Roseanne and party and shop. Well… maybe not shop since the funds are running low. That trip is something else to look forward to.

I feel like summer is over, just because of how busy I will be with school and because the big event of the summer is over. :( I just hope that what is left of summer is as great as the past couple of months have been.
