Only me.

After class today, my “posse” of girls I hang around with everyday (Abby, Christin, and Heather) and I stood around chatting. I was a little curious as to why two guys who looked vaguely familiar to me kept glancing my way. I knew it wasn’t because I looked good today, hell no. I had very little sleep from writing a 15 page paper in one evening. I was unshowered, wearing jeans and a sweatshirt older than I am, with my hair tossed back into a ponytail. Not cute.

I dismissed it, and Abby and I went on our way. About 15 minutes later we were visiting people in the ESS office and Leanne, my fellow chair from SESH, asks “Breanne… you do realize you have a huge hole in your jeans, right?”

No, no I didn’t.

I almost died of mortification right there as I pieced together exactly why those two guys in the hallway kept glancing my way, and I blurted “THAT’S why those two guys in the hallway kept looking!”

Of course Abby had to chime in and said “Must be! I was also wondering why they kept looking at you and giggling!”

Giggling. I knew they were staring but giggling!?

Leanne, in an attempt to make me feel better, said “All they can see is your underwear!” I gave her a look, and she said “Or… that’s not your underwear is it.”

Nope. It was all bum. Full bottomed underpants and I do not get along, thankyouverymuch.

To make matters worse (yes, it gets worse)… I realized exactly where I recognized the two guys in the hallway from… they play football for the Huskies, our college football team. A couple of days ago I checked out the roster just because I am headed to Vanier Cup this weekend and, well, I wanted to see if any of them were goodlooking. I’ll admit it.

So, yes… my embarassing story of the day. Is anyone really that surprised this happened to me? I’m not.

Take it as a compliment. Obviously you were attractive enough to catch the attention of not one but two foot ball players. Not bad. ;-) I can imagine how it would be mortifying giving the circumstances, but cheer up. They’re definitely going to remember you now.
